A honeymoon for one on the most romantic train journey in the world… what could possibly go wrong?

When Aubrey’s fiancé dumps her – literally at the altar – just days before Christmas, her first thought is for the honeymoon. A luxury snow train, winding through Europe’s most beautiful Christmas markets, stopping in places like Paris and Stockholm, before ending in Lapland, to stay in igloos under the Northern Lights.

It was meant to be the most romantic ten days of her life. And now she has to go it alone. But arriving on the train – where, not wanting to be known as someone who was jilted, she might have accidentally implied her new husband died in a horrible accident – she finds she’s not the only singleton on board.

The group of single passengers quickly nicknames themselves ‘The Unlucky in Love Travel Club’… But – as the train gathers pace – so do Aubrey’s feelings for absurdly handsome travel journalist, Jasper.

And she starts to wonder – as fireworks explode over the snow – whether her magical Christmas honeymoon-for-one might be just what she needs. And if she might not be as unlucky in love as she’d thought…

This is a clean, sweet romance with either closed doors or fade to black, or only kissing.

Last Stop on the Winter Wonderland Express is a charming, sweet romance that hits several notes that aren’t exactly in the happily ever after type of romance, since Aubrey was jilted right before she was to walk down the aisle.  Her now former fiancé has completely ghosted her, practically vanishing from the face of the earth.  Okay, she might have had a few jitters herself, but at least she’d shown up.  Maybe those doubts were screaming at her then, but she’s most definitely listening now.  The honeymoon was her romantic trip of a lifetime, and she decided to continue on with those plans.  Why waste the money and the chance to visit so many beautiful locations with Christmas Markets and experience the Northern Lights?

Not wanting to admit to being jilted practically at the altar, Aubry will spin a story of how her husband was tragically killed in an accident… after all, wasn’t he just as good as dead to her now after leaving her, ghosting her, and having no contact since?  It turns out that she’s not the only solo person on this amazing train ride, and she’ll discover the kindness of strangers, new friendships forged in unusual circumstances, and perhaps a romantic encounter with a fellow passenger.

Last Stop on the Winter Wonderland Express by Rebecca Raisin is the type of story that not only hits you in the feels, it opens your eyes to Aubrey’s journey of self-healing as well.  I enjoyed her travel companions’ opinions on not only her situation, but tidbits of life wisdom as well.  And perhaps, Jasper will heal her heart in another way when finding the right man overcomes settling for the wrong one.  If you enjoy a clean contemporary romance with insight, relatable experiences, and the chance to find the right person to spend a lifetime loving, then you’d enjoy Last Stop on the Winter Wonderland Express.
