Harlequin Addiction & Harlequin Author Lists

HARLEQUIN ADDICTION & HARLEQUIN AUTHOR LISTS

I freely admit that I’m addicted to Romance stories.  And that love of “love stories” began long, long ago – so I’ve been reading Harlequin™ for my entire adult reading life.  For years, I would pick up my monthly books at the local bookstore and devour them all within a week.  Now.  Well, not only does Harlequin™ have more “designated genre lines” than ever before, but my time isn’t as free as it once was to stop everything in life and escape into another world.

In recent years, since starting a romance review blog, much of my time has been spent on ARC reading as I worked at establishing this blog/website, and the time I once devoted to Harlequin has been spread a bit thinner.  To be completely honest, I did request ARCs from Harlequin.  But, at that time (years ago), this space wasn’t popular enough, with enough views to meet the publisher’s requirements for ARCs… and I understood that policy, they are, after all, a business that is looking for the best return in advertising for their “free for a review” books.

Yet, recently, something changed.  Either at Harlequin itself, or at NetGalley and Booksprout.  Now, I am being approved for ARCs far more often than I once was… and I’ll publicly thank the publishing house (and the authors) for their trust in allowing me advanced reader copies of their books.  Oh, I still buy my monthly Harlequin haul, that won’t ever change — yet, now I can read those ARCs as well, and for that I am so very grateful.

Over time, I’ve developed a favorite authors list from the many talented authors who write for Harlequin.  Those authors that I’ll always one-click, the series that I just have to know what comes next, or the continuity lines where I’m invested in a community made up of familiar families… just distant cousins, maybe. 🙂  Below I’ve listed links to pages within Happily Ever After Romance for the titles of those favorite authors of mine, or continuity lines.  Whenever possible, I’ve included links to the author’s own websites, as well as back to Harlequin itself.  Perhaps we share some favorites.  Plus, it’s a great way for me to see what I’m missing or if I need to continue a series.  I hope you’ll find a new-to-you author among these pages because escaping into a romance is a gift we shouldn’t deny ourselves.
