Noah Ryan and Jules Doucette had spent every moment of their lives together, first as childhood best friends and later as young lovers. The two had their future all planned out—until one unspeakable decision tore them apart.

Twenty-six years later, Jules is living her life by someone else’s plan. She’s running her mother’s store, living in her mother’s house, following her mother’s rules, and keeping the secrets her mother made her bury.

Then Noah comes home, and any sense of order and structure flies out the window. Noah’s return does more than just stir up old memories—it also forces Jules to see her life in a whole new way and uncover secrets even she didn’t know were hidden. But can the power of first love triumph over years of pain and lies?

Read on for my thoughts on Don’t Let Go.  No true spoilers, promise.

Don’t Let Go is a must read for romance readers.  Yes, I actually said “must read”.  The feels you will find within this lovely novel should be a selling point alone.

As I was reading this I kept thinking – twenty six years, they had wasted so many years that could have been spent together except for… well, that’s not for me to reveal now.

No novel stands on love alone, and Don’t Let Go is no different in that.  There are mysteries, truths to be told, memories to sort out, lives to change throughout this story.  Nothing is cut and dried, everything is bathed in history and choices.  Through it all the love that Noah and Jules still have for each other shines through.

I will admit, despite loving this story there were times I wanted to shake either Noah or Jules or even sometimes both at once – but they had so much to get through that I forgave them and kept on reading.  This is a novel that will move you through emotions like used tissues and you will enjoy every sniffle, giggle, sigh, tear and laugh.  Pick this one up, give yourself a true treat and enjoy a love that survived through the years apart to find a happy ending.

*I received an e-ARC of Don’t Let Go from the publisher and NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. That does not change what I think of this novel.*
