Mikhail Lysenko, a tall, dark, and deadly corporate shark, is buying up ailing companies during the financial crisis worldwide, cherry-picking the best parts, and disposing of the dead wood.

Lindsay Carlisle is a sexy, long-legged, ruthless lawyer whose client is determined to hold out against a Lysenko take-over.

And when Mikhail’s laser business focus hones in on Lindsay and becomes personal, very personal, she doesn’t know whether his interest is genuine or a means of undermining her client’s case. Regardless, there’s no way she’s going to be added to the list of women who’ve jumped into the sexy millionaire’s bed. Trying to resist Mikhail and keep work her priority is more than enough to deal with, but then someone begins anonymously sending Lindsay roses… black roses. As a love token? Or something more sinister? She may have to run into Mikail’s arms and allow him to save her from her secret admirer.

Read on for my thoughts of Pursued By The Devil.  No true spoilers, promise.

For this novel, everything you really need to know to decide about Pursued By The Devil is in the book/cover description.  But hey, who wouldn’t want to be pursued by this hot millionaire?

Mikhail is attracted… no, that’s too soft of a word… he’s captivated by Lindsay.  Where he could easily have any woman in the world by simply lifting a pinky finger – he wants Lindsay with a passion that to some might seem unreasonable.  He will do anything to have this intelligent, beautiful, driven woman in his life and his bed.  He doesn’t alway play fair.  But then he’s a millionaire, go figure.

Lindsay is attracted but sees a huge conflict of interest.  And when someone begins to send her love tokens that reek of a stalker, Mickhail is right there protecting his woman.  Their love story is full of sexy passion, deep emotions, suspense and a strong love to last a lifetime.  Honestly, there really is little more to say that you couldn’t read from the description.

Pursued By The Devil is a sexy story with strong characters.  I would recommend this novel for anyone who loves their heroes on the alpha side and their heroines feisty and strong.  It is a delightful, enjoyable story – but I expect no less from Ms Mortimer, who has given me years of lovely stories to lose myself within.

*I received an e-ARC of Pursued By The Devil from the publisher and NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. That does not change what I think of this novel.*
