Wedding planner Zoe Plum has brides from all walks of life vying for her services. The only problem is: happily-single Zoe doesn’t actually enjoy weddings―but that might change when she meets the singer of a local band playing at one of her weddings. His name is Levi Dolson and he’s too gorgeous for his own good. And now he’s gone ahead and charmed her new dachshund. . .

It’s no secret that Zoe doesn’t believe in fairy tales, but that doesn’t stop her from wanting to make sweet music with Levi. While she’s convinced she doesn’t need a man, when someone starts setting one trap after the next to make sure she never plans a wedding ever again, she might need Levi in more ways than she could have imagined. But just how far is Zoe’s hidden enemy willing to go? The only thing Levi knows for sure is that he will do everything in his power to protect the woman who brings music to his soul. Maybe that will prove to Zoe, once and for all, that he is a man worthy of her heart. .

A Wedding Tail brings us an unique story that at times engaged me and at others, annoyed me.  Not in a horrible way, simply that “girl, get over yourself” kind of way that we’ve all run into in some stories.  Zoe has issues in her past, events that turned her into the woman she is today.  A woman who needs no man, thank you very much.  And that fact was made loud and clear, several times.  There were points where I wondered why in the world Levi is sticking around to take her snarky, rude complete attitude.  So I guess  you could say I was of two minds about Zoe.  There were times that I liked her and was totally on her side – then there were the moments when my head went “you did not just do/say/think that”.  I’m glad she got her own happy ever after but the road to that sweet moment was a rough, bumpy off-road adventure to travel for both Zoe and Levi.

The mystery as to who and why someone was messing with Zoe’s business and life is full of twists and turns.  I’m sure there are mystery buffs who got it right away, but I didn’t know who it was til the reveal.  And that’s okay, I like my mystery parts to be… well, mysterious.

All told, I loved Levi, liked Zoe, adored a sweet little dachshund that stole the whole thing and overall enjoyed A Wedding Tail.  If you like snarky heroines then Zoe is your girl.  I wish I could have liked her more, but sometimes I’m more on the hero’s side than anyone else.

*I received an e-ARC of this novel from the publisher via NetGalley. That does not change what I think of this story. It is my choice to leave a review giving my personal opinion about this book.*

Available in paperback and for the Kindle

I haven’t read the first two in the series, but this one was fun, even if Zoe’s man-hating got to be a bit much at times.
