Becky and Kelly loved each other.  Come on, of course they do, they cannot stay apart for more than a few months without falling into sex again.  They divorced when it seemed that their life was split in two directions.  So when it seemed that Becky had given the last ultimatum, he finally gave up on their marriage.  But he hadn’t been able to give up on her.  No matter how many moments of “closure” they’d had, he simply could not let go.

Finally she’d tracked him down at the competition on Turtle Island.  He had to know.  She didn’t have the right to keep this from him.  Then she’d leave for good.  She would walk away and give him what he wanted most from her… his freedom.  She’d leave, but she would never stop loving Kelly.  He was her other half, her soul mate if you believed in such things.  She had, once.  Now, not so much.  One last time to see him, only talk to him.  Then goodbye.  She could do this, for his sake, even if her heart was shattering into a million pieces.  For Kelly, she could do anything.

Two Turtle Island Doves is a sweet, short novella.  The story of two people in love – who couldn’t part ways even when they called it quits.  It’s obvious they still love each other.  And it’s equally obvious why Becky is here.  A love that never died and two people who finally grow up.  This is one of those fast, sweet reads that will be read in a short amount of time, but the love will linger.

Did you know that the beautiful pictures of Christmas turtle doves, white turtle doves isn’t exactly correct?  Turtle doves are a boring brownish color that helps them blend in with their habitat – nothing sparkling white about them.  But it looks better on the Christmas tree, I suppose.
