Opposites might attract…
The Brennans and the Gallaghers put aside their one-hundred-year feud every Tuesday for their weekly poker game. This week, the stakes are sky-high. Goaded to recklessness, Declan Brennan bets one thousand dollars that he can woo the next woman to walk into the saloon. A minute later, fiery-haired Betsy Gallagher pushes through the doors. If Declan can tame this wild Gallagher, he’ll have earned every penny.

If they don’t kill each other first…
Betsy can out shoot anybody in Burnt Boot and loves ranching more than anything-until she falls for Declan. He’s fallen for her too. But when she discovers what sparked their courtship, Declan will need a Christmas miracle to save his hide-and his heart.

Titles in this series include:  Cowboy Boots For Christmas – The Trouble With Texas Cowboys – One Texas Cowboy Too many – A Cowboy Christmas Miracle

Declan Brennan was in a heap of trouble, and the source of that trouble just walked into the bar.  Betsy Gallagher had no clue when she walked in for a quick drink that she’d become the object of a bet between feuding families… hers and Declan’s.  Every man at that poker table knew that the stakes had just risen to the near impossible range.  Declan may have cringed for a moment at this bit of madness, but then inside he felt a slow fire take heart.  He’s wanted this amazing, fiery woman for years – secret crushes between feuding families don’t usually end well.  But he was sick and tired of this feud and if he could pull off this miracle maybe it could finally be put to rest… and he’d have the woman he loved in his arms forever.  Unless Betsy found out what had prompted this romance and she destroyed him first.  Wasn’t love grand?!

Betsy had been attracted to Declan Brennan for years now.  Stupid family feud that kept her from finding out what his kisses might be like.  But right now she’d been given one heck of a job to be done before Christmas.  The grandmothers, the crazy women who’d kept this dumb feud alive had gone and done the worst thing possible in her eyes… they’d put the annual Christmas play at their church in jeopardy.  Would they never learn to keep it to family and not the entire town!  Now she had to come up with a way to help out the church, make sure the play took place in spite of a century old feud all without letting either side know what she was doing.  Yeah.  Right.

A Cowboy Christmas Miracle gives Betsy and Declan a chance to save Christmas, hopefully end a feud that started long before they were even born and maybe.. just maybe, find a love that was worth all the risks they’d have to face.  I absolutely loved this story.  It’s full of charm, funny one liners, feuding grandmothers, crazy antics and two people who simply want to love each other and create their own future.  This is the final story in the Burnt Boot, Texas series – and what an ending.  Ever laugh until you cry or find something so hilariously funny but you can’t explain why but it is… yeah, my family thought I was a bit crazy as I read this one.  But their looks were well worth it, they left me alone to read.  *grin*

If you’d love Romeo and Juliet in the form of modern day Texans, some steamy interactions, a bit of Christmas whimsy and miracles – and a fun, loving couple who are sick and tired of a feud that is just dumb and keeps them apart… then you’ll love this story.  I loved Declan and Betsy, they so deserved their happy ever after.  In the mood for some Christmas magic?  Then I’d recommend this story and the entire series.  You cannot go wrong with this kind of love.
