Once upon a time Jack and Harley were friends… more than friends actually.  Childhood friends, all the way through high school Harley was convinced that she and Jack had a beautiful future ahead of them – together.  Enter the wicked witch, otherwise known as Jack’s meddling, manipulative mother who never saw Harley as good enough for her son… and stacked the deck against her.  Jack’s sudden, totally unexpected engagement blindsided Harley and maybe drove her to become the success she is today.  Lives change, dreams turn into something different – but do people ever really change?  Harley is about to find out as she faces down Jack and his mother for something she desperately wants, and intends to get.

There is so much that I liked about Right All Along, and one person that I’ll never be convinced can change her spots.  Call me too suspicious, but I don’t buy that Jack’s mother can ever completely make a turnaround in attitude… but that’s my view of her.

Harley is successful, determined, a bit stubborn – and still has feelings for Jack, even after all that happened.  Living near him, seeing him constantly is both pain and pleasure.  Her growing relationship with Jack’s twin daughters is believable and so welcomed in their lives.  Those girls have their daddy wrapped around adorable pinkies, but then don’t most daughters?

Jack is… well, I liked jack better once he stopped listening to his mother – finally.  His love for his girls, his enjoyment of the winery, and his realization of the mistake he made years ago make him an interesting man.  Once committed to his path he lets nothing stop his relationship with Harley, not even the woman he loves herself.

It’s not going to be a smooth road for these two to finding a happy ending together.  Yet watching the growth, the acceptance, even the defiance made their journey enjoyable to experience.  If you enjoy a second chance at love, single dads and finally finding that perfect for you partner – then you’ll enjoy Right All Along.
