Struggling to find the perfect Christmas gift? Step into Romantic Daze …

Daisy Kirk is a sucker for a love story, which is why she opened up her gift shop – because there’s nothing that makes Daisy happier than when she’s helped a customer achieve their own ‘happily ever after’ by finding the perfect Christmas gift for their loved one. And she absolutely does not just sell ‘soppy presents and frilly pants’ as her brother’s infuriating best friend, Eli, is so fond of suggesting.

The sad fact is that whilst Daisy is helping others with their love lives, hers is non-existent. But when unusual circumstances take Daisy and Eli on a road trip from London to rural Wales, will she finally get the happily ever after to her own Christmas love story?

Happy National Cat Day! My Leia

Posted October 29, 2019 by Marsha in Discussion Post / 0 Comments

Let’s start today off with a celebration — Happy National Cat Day to my Leia and all the cuteness that is, well… cats, kittens.  I’d include tigers, lions, cougars, panthers, lynx, leopards – after all, they’re just bigger versions of cats, right?  🙂

Here is Leia looking cool but annoyed at being woken from a nap by some “human” taking a picture of cuteness.  Annoyed, Leia simply stretched and went back to sleep.  Ah, the life of a pampered cat.  🙂

Giles Mealing was looking forward to ending his service as the mayor of Creede, Colorado—except the only other person on the ballot is a known thug. Having a suspected criminal as the mayor would be like holding a match to a town that’s already a powder keg. Giles reluctantly takes back up the campaign, assisted by his secretary. Continuing his association with the lovely Diane would definitely be the only bright spot to winning the election.

Diane Turley loves working in the mayor’s office and more specifically, with the mayor. Although she detects no romantic feelings from him, she longs for them. As a result, she hides her own attraction deep inside. She can’t imagine working for anyone else. So for completely selfish reasons, she organizes efforts toward his re-election, drawing unwanted attention from dangerous men seeking power.

It takes a desperate enemy to wake them up to what they could have together.

Christmas is a time for remembering loved ones past and present – the holidays are also the time to discover a future that, like the perfect gift, is as satisfying as it is surprising . . .

Joy Preston misses her beloved late grandmother dearly. But when she learns the terms of Nana’s will, she’s shocked—and more than a little irked. Joy moved to Colorado years ago and is now CEO of a successful nail polish company. Her life and career are in Denver. How can Nana have expected her to give that up, even temporarily, to take over a bed and breakfast in North Carolina for six months?

Yet there’s no denying Heart and Soul’s charm, especially at holiday time. The B&B is always elaborately decorated for the season, with themed guest rooms and dazzling lawn displays created for the annual Parade of Homes competition. The entire town takes part in the festivities, and soon Joy, too, is joining in the gingerbread house contest and letting her reservations melt away.

There’s another special reason for Heart and Soul’s popularity. Rumor has it that, during the holiday season, guests can be reunited with the spirit of a loved one who’s passed on. Joy’s skeptical, yet she feels her beloved Nana’s influence all around her . . . perhaps even indulging in a little matchmaking between Joy and handsome estate attorney Will Drake.

A special homecoming and the glow of new beginnings will combine to make the holiday magical.
