The kitchen isn’t the only thing heating up this winter…
Tiffany Black, culinary artist and owner of Beary Sweets Café, is determined to make this year’s Winter Solstice celebration one to remember. Especially since it will also be the mating ceremony for her brother, Anthony, and soon-to-be sister-in-law, Connie. She wants everything to be perfect. Unfortunately, you can’t always get what you want. When she falls off a ladder in her café and breaks her ankle, she fears her plans are doomed. Until the sexy bear Healer, Holt, comes to the rescue–stirring up more than just recipes.
Mating has never been at the top of Holt’s to-do list, and he’s known Tiffany all her life. So when the mating urge slams into him after mending her ankle, he’s taken aback–unsure and intrigued at the same time. The girl he watched grow up is now a curvy, sensual woman, and his bear wants to claim her. He wants to claim her.
The stubborn female refuses to follow Healer’s orders and allow her ankle to heal, and she’s hell-bent on catering the winter celebrations. In order to do what needs to be done, she insists that he help her. Since it gives him an excuse to stay by her side, he’s all right with that. As they work side by side to make the Solstice unforgettable, their passions ignite, and things turn utterly delicious.
Read on for my thoughts on A Beary Sweet Holiday. No true spoilers, promise.
A Beary Sweet Holiday is another sexy, hot shifter romance to fall in love with. Because the story is a very short novella, there won’t be too much that I’m willing to talk about — except maybe how much I love this shifter clan.
Tiffany is the sister of Trey, Anthony and Ryan – and the daughter of the Alpha of the clan. Watching two of her brothers find their mates has been a fun experience – watching them turn from protective of only her and now super protective of their mates was a relief. Oh, she loved her brothers but sometimes their over protectiveness got to be a bit much. Right now she and Kaylee, her friend and worker at the Beary Sweets Cafe have a clan celebration to get ready for – the mating hunt of Connie and Anthony. This Winter Solstice was going to be amazing. But before the good times can roll they have some baking to finish up.
Unfortunately disaster is just a step ladder away when Tiffany falls off of the ladder reaching for an important part of the celebrations hiding on the top shelf just out of reach. The results – a broken ankle, a total re-planning of the clan celebration and the realization that Holt, the clan Healer and a man she’s grown up with… is far m ore to her than either oft them ever realized. Fated mates – friends first. Who would have ever thought these two belonged together… well, everyone better get used to it because two more bear shifters are in love.
A Beary Sweet Holiday is such a sexy, fun and entertaining read. Even though it’s short, it packs a powerful story punch – and hints at another pairing in the near future. I mean really – it’s fun, it’s sexy, it’s hot as an oven and… it’s shifters. What is not to love about that combination? Indulge yourself with this holiday story.
( The first story in the Bears of Blackrock series Bear Essentials has been reviewed by me on my purely Shifter Book Blog SHIFTER HAVEN – and the second story Bear Magick is there as well. In a week or so I’ll put up a slightly different version of this review post of A Beary Sweet Holiday as well. Just to keep all of the series in one place. So if you’d like to know what came before Tiffany and Holt’s story go and check out Shifter Haven. )
*I received an e-ARC of A Beary Sweet Holiday from the publisher and NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. That does not change what I think of this novel.*
