He’s falling for his best friend’s sister. She’s snowed in with the one man she swore she’d resist.
Jack Allen, the newest investor in Cabins in the Pines Resort, is ready to celebrate the season. Between the sleigh rides, the Winter Wonderland festival, and a special countdown to a new baby for the resort’s owners, Christmas in Fairwood, Arizona, promises to be unforgettable. But when his best friend’s sister arrives—reluctantly and with zero holiday spirit—Jack’s plans take an unexpected turn.
Dr. Ella Brent-Collingsworth has no interest in festive celebrations. With her demanding career as a physician, she sees her trip to Fairwood as nothing more than a brief family visit before she moves on to the next chapter of her life. But a sudden winter storm derails her plans, leaving her snowed in at the resort with the most infuriatingly charming man she’s ever met.
When an unexpected challenge threatens the resort’s holiday events, Jack and Ella are forced to work together. As the Christmas magic settles in, so do feelings neither of them saw coming. But when Ella’s dream job in California calls, she must decide—return to the future she’s worked for or risk everything for a love that feels like home?
Titles in the Cabins in the Pines series include: A Summer to Remember ~ A Wedding to Remember ~ A Christmas to Remember ~
This is a clean, sweet romance with either closed doors/fade to black, or only kissing.

A Christmas to Remember is the third title in the Cabins in the Pines series, this time featuring Ella and Jack in an unexpected romance full of the magic of Christmas… and finding the right person who fits you perfectly, even if it turns out to be, well, complicated.
Ella is visiting her sister Alex, grudgingly, for the Christmas season. She’s completely focused on her career as a hospital administrator (formerly a hands-on physician), and finds all the fuss about the holidays to be, well, a waste of energy. Yet, she promised Alex to be here, even though her first encounter with another member of the investors in the Cabins in the Pines was far from perfect. Running into Jack during a heavy snowstorm and crashing into a tree were, perhaps, not her best moments. But really, the man is annoying with his complete love of everything Christmas-y, and his unwanted insights into her motivation for her career. She’d love to avoid him, but that’s difficult when they’re snowed in during a storm and end up working together to save what they can of the upcoming Festival. Suddenly, for Ella, life has become very… complicated.
I absolutely loved A Christmas to Remember by Cassidy Carter. It’s a lovely Christmas Romance with characters who are believable, even relatable, as they tumble into an unexpected romance. I loved watching Ella re-evaluate her life, her beliefs, her place in this world. Perhaps she needs to take a step back and really do what she wants for herself, not what she thinks she should be doing. Sometimes, we need a mirror held up in front of ourselves to really see what we’ve become. And Jack certainly has a huge part in holding up that mirror for Ella.
A Christmas to Remember by Cassidy Carter is well-written, emotional, fun, and full of Christmas magic in every sense. I loved watching walls tumble, relationships be mended, strengthened, and seeing familiar faces from earlier books as they continue on their adventures in love. While I would suggest reading this series in order, if at all possible, I believe that Ella and Jack’s love story would be a wonderful gift to give yourself this holiday season. I enjoyed myself, and look forward to the next visit to the Cabins in the Pines.
