Heidi Forrester has it all–a new promotion, great friends, and plans to purchase a condo. But when her Christmas plans don’t pan out, she instead vacations solo in Merry, Montana–a picturesque mountain village where it’s Christmas year-round. Charmed, she jumps at the chance to join the festivities by assisting the incredibly handsome but understaffed owner of A World of Christmas, a two-story wonderland of Christmas decor, and finds more holiday spirit and fun than she ever did at glamorous resorts.
Ben McNamara can’t believe his luck when the beautiful visitor to his store offers to fill his seasonal help vacancy. Even more fortuitous, she’s a marketing genius who can help him make A World of Christmas more attractive to potential buyers. But as the date draws close for him to hand off his family’s legacy, Ben realizes that maybe it wasn’t the ever-present Christmas atmosphere that had bothered him, but rather the fact that he’d never had anyone to share it with.
Can Heidi convince Ben there’s so much more to love on Yule Mountain than just Christmas?

If you’re in the mood to fall into Christmas, then I can’t think of a better place to start than by picking up A Merry Mountain Christmas. Set in the small town of Merry, Montana located on Yule Mountain, this magical town celebrates Christmas year round. Full of small shops with truly Christmas-y names, you’ll fall in love with the people, the non-stop events, Christmas music playing in the streets the atmosphere and the feeling of living inside the most beautiful Christmas snow globe of all. It’s the perfect place for one woman who loves everything Christmas to spend her year end vacation… and who knows, she might decide that she never wants to leave.
Frankly, I loved everything about A Merry Mountain Christmas – and I’d certainly love more stories set in this quaint town where Christmas reigns every day of the year. Heidi may have just gotten the promotion that she so richly deserves, with plans to finally buy that perfect condo near work yet she’s been so dedicated to her work that her friends and family have made their Christmas plans – without including Heidi believing she’d be so tied up with her job that she’d not be available. Making impromptu plans with an old friend to visit her small hometown, Heidi will find herself in her version of heaven since she loves everything about Christmas, especially considering it’s also her birthday. She expected to relax, unwind, and have some Christmas fun during this break from work – she didn’t expect to fall in love with a town, the people or one special man who could turn around all her carefully made plans.
Ben has lived in Merry his entire life, he’s surrounded by Christmas in the town, at his family’s shop A World of Christmas… and, sadly, he’s lost that Christmas magic. Ben is looking for “something” more and he’s certain that he won’t find it in his hometown. His parents have passed the shop over to Ben early, and now he’s got plans to sell and move away. One woman with a deep love of Christmas may just change his mind, because the grass isn’t always greener somewhere else when everything, everyone you want in your life is right in front of you.
Ben and Heidi’s romance is sweet, clean and will capture your heart quite easily. Watching Ben have his eyes opened to possibilities was a joy. Seeing Heidi struggle with an overbearing boss who simply will not let up on demands, even when she’s on vacation, will hit home with many people. In some ways Heidi and Ben go through a reversal of feelings toward this joyful season as Heidi begins to feel too much for the town, the people and Ben… and Ben begins to see that it isn’t a place that will bring him happiness, but one person.
I loved every moment spent in A Merry Mountain Christmas, a story filled to the brim with Christmas, interesting people, a town to love and one couple who are simply perfect for each other. We meet some interesting secondary characters in this story as well, some who are definitely single ladies who deserve their own happy endings – and I’m really hoping that we get to re-visit Merry, Montana again in the near future. Love Christmas Romance? Then you need to grab this one, some hot chocolate, a warm fireplace and simply indulge yourself.
