This is a clean, sweet romance with either closed doors or fade to black scenes.  It is a Romantic Suspense, so there may also be implied or actual violence within the story.

Abducted in the Woods is the second title in the Forest Ranger Rescuers series from Harlequin’s Love Inspired Suspense imprint.  I fell into this story from the opening pages, and the need to know more kept me on edge throughout Sarah and Tucker’s romance as they search for Sarah’s kidnapped son, Liam.

Sarah’s husband was murdered, unknowingly, right in front of her.  As she flees with her young son, Liam, to the one place she believed that they would be safe, she has no idea just how deeply her husband’s betrayal would go.  Her aunt’s cabin might once have been her happy place, but it wasn’t long before she was fighting for her life and trying to protect her son from these men who killed her husband and eventually kidnapped her son.

Sarah and Tucker have history, might have even found their happiness together if his twin brother, Tanner, in his need to always take anything (or anyone) away from Tucker, hadn’t stepped in with lies to misdirect Sarah’s attention to him.  When Tucker learns of his brother’s murder, his first thought is of Sarah and Liam… and his determination to find his nephew and protect the woman he still loves to this day.

As they search for Liam, Sarah and Tucker will discover just how deeply Tanner was involved in the medical black market, as information comes to light about just how badly her husband had used her to hurt his twin as well.  In the midst of their frantic search for Liam, this couple will discover that true love never dies and will find their way back to each other in the middle of all of this chaos.

I was so caught up in Abducted in the Woods by Kerry Johnson. It is such an intense romance full of danger, betrayal, and finding one’s way back to the right person meant for them all along.  It’s well-written, faith-based, emotional, and gripping as we watch Sarah and Tucker not only reunite but search for a little boy, a victim who had nothing to do with any of this. If that sounds like a story you could get lost in, then you’d enjoy this couple’s journey to their happy ever after.
