Alabama Christmas Wedding is a standalone title within the author’s Alabama world, featuring a couple who, a lifetime ago, might have had a forever romance… that turned into heartache.  While their adult children are now uniting their families in holy matrimony.  As Jane’s daughter, Casey, plans to wed Trevor’s son, Drew, suddenly these two people with a complicated romantic past must come together to celebrate a new love for their children… and, perhaps, a second chance for themselves.

I love a second chance to get their love right kind of story, and seeing Jane and Trevor as later-in-life romantic interests (once again) was such a treat for me.  They had gone on from their college engagement, broken because of Trevor’s plans to travel so much, to live full lives, marry, have children, and each lose a spouse to come back almost full circle to each other again.  That their children were up to some romantic shenanigans of their own brought an indulgent smile.

While Casey and Drew have their own romance and future plans to explore, their parents will need to do some soul searching, some acknowledgements of their past, and even some forgiving before their own romance can find a happy ending…this time.

I enjoyed Alabama Christmas Wedding by Susan Sands so very much.  The holiday spirit shines through the different locations, the two happily ever after romances, and the reconnection of a couple that were always right for each other, making this story a delight.  It’s well-written, all the emotions you could possibly wish for, and some Christmas magic as well. Give yourself a beautiful gift this season with Alabama Christmas Wedding.
