Cover Description:
The Blood Revelation Prophecy: Vampires, witches, and shifters will band together to stop the darkness from winning, until one warrior is born to save the world from Satan’s wrath.
When Aria Michaels sets out to find the vampire who took her mother’s life, she’s stunned when she instead finds Rialto Renaldi, the vampire who has been haunting her dreams. She hadn’t believed he was real, and she knows she should run from Rialto as fast as she can. But who better to help her find her mother’s killer?
Rialto is reluctant to help the mortal woman who has invaded his dreams, even though he’s curious about who she is and why she has this strange connection to him. He isn’t, however, about to satisfy his curiosity. The last time he became involved with a mortal, he ended up destroying her. But he knows that if Aria searches for the killer on her own, she’ll join her mother in death.
Finally, Rialto agrees to help Aria, but the pair soon learns that fate brought them together for a much larger purpose, and fate has every intention of destroying them if they don’t fulfill their roles in the Blood Revelation Prophecy . .
Read on for my thoughts on Blood Curse. No true spoilers, promise.
First of all – this is a REISSUE with a new cover of a title that originally was released in March of 2010.
I wanted to love Blood Curse, I really did. Vampires need to be powerful, gritty and dark passionate creatures. And Rialto is certainly all of that and more.
Aria is a vampire hunter, out to destroy the creature who took her mother’s life – and as many more as she can find in her search for the vile creatures who haunt the night and destroy lives.
Yet, they have been dreaming about each other for years – and those dreams are getting stronger, more erotic, more passionate and more like real life in a place where the two seem to cross over and merge. These two are destined to find each other, overcome their differences and find a strong love for the other – strong enough to create the child who will stop the ultimate darkness that is coming.
Blood Curse is a good story. Dark, passionate, sexy vampire. Not so innocent vampire hunter who falls under the spell of the man she should be destroying. Everything was there to make this story sizzle and snap with energy. And still, for me, it simply didn’t work. I wish I could tell you why. I don’t know why though, I only can tell you my reaction to the story… and that is that it was a good story, but not one that will compel me to continue the series. I think what it came down to was simple – I didn’t believe it. And if I cannot suspend my disbelief and fall into another world then it’s not going to work.
But, as with any review you should check out the story for yourself – it may just be exactly what you are looking for in a vampire story. You’ll never know unless you go take the risk and see for yourself by reading Blood Curse.
*I received an e-ARC of Blood Curse from the publisher and NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. That does not change what I think of this novel.*
Available in paperback and for the Kindle
