Burning Love brings the Hot Aussie Knights to a close, at least for now as I’ve learned to never say it’s truly over.  Caleb and Ava’s story is… a bit different than the earlier stories.  Their’s is a well, it’s a benefits without the friends more like close acquaintances kinda thing.  They’re friendly, but there is no true relationship just a friendly arrangement when the need arises for some sexual release.  That sounds horrible typed out, but it was a mutually beneficial agreement.  Neither wanted anything long term or even short therm, yet they’d been together in this arrangement for about a year.  Then it begins to get a bit complicated as Caleb begins to allow his feelings for Ava to show.  He wants a true relationship.  Ava does not.  And that’s where it gets complicated.

Ava has never opened up to Caleb about her past.  The present, the attraction, that’s all they share.  Until Caleb had to go get emotional on her and now she’s faced with something she’s afraid she cannot handle.  There are some very dark secrets in Ava’s life.  They will be slowly revealed over the length of this story.  But to go any further would risk giving away spoilers.  So I’ll simply say that Burning Love was an intense story.  One that was a good story, but one where I had difficulty connecting with the characters.  I was glad to see a resolution to the investigation of the family patriarch.  And since there is an American side of the family’s series going on now in Rocky Mountain Knights, we may hear from some of these couples again.  Never say never.
