My Rating: 4.5 stars
Business Between Enemies is a standalone title featuring Hennessy and Renzo, two people who on the surface can’t seem to stand each other, yet are tossed together as co-CEOs of her father’s company. It doesn’t help that once Hennessy had a mortifying crush on Renzo, or that Renzo shows disdain for what he considers Hennessy’s wild, impetuous ways… the same impulsive actions that brought about his own parents’ deaths. Somehow, they have to figure out a way to work together, for business purposes only.
Yet, something sizzles beneath their banter, and on one business trip, Renzo will find himself questioning what he actually knows about Hennessy’s past… because the actions of this woman are nothing like the woman he thought he knew everything about. When truth comes to the surface, and who Hennessy is today is fully realized, this couple will find that the sparks flaring between them are only the beginning of the emotions about to overtake them. Enemies? Maybe once upon a time. Lovers? Definitely. But a happy ending for them? Only time will tell.
I enjoyed Business Between Enemies by Louise Fuller; it’s well-written, emotional, steamy, and full of banter that maybe hides sarcasm at times. If that sounds like your kind of romance, then this one is perfect for you.
