The city girl is surprised how much she enjoys switching her high heels for cowboy boots and pedicures for mud treatments—and not the kind you find at a day spa. And she’s falling hard for Wil Parker, the sexy, rugged farmer at the center of the show.
Amidst the chaos, tantrums and editing tape, the heat and passion between Emily and Wil reaches boiling point. But can they survive the imminent explosion, let alone the fallout?
Stand Alone Title
Are you a fan of reality shows like The Bachelor? Then you’re going to enjoy Catch Me A Cowboy.
Neither Emily or Wil had actually tried out for this reality show, others had put in their applications for them… but the result is Wil being the man in the middle of some pretty intense, beautiful women And Emily taking a break from her stress filled passion as a successful real estate agent. She’s a city girl through and through. He’s a country boy with no intention of moving away from the land. So how in the world are these two going to work out what is quickly becoming more than a reality show.. for show romance.
I had such a fun time with this romance. For the record, I’ve never watched one single episode of The Bachelor… *gasp* I know, amazing isn’t it? Yet, Catch Me A Cowboy gave me a fun, quirky and serious look at what must happen behind the scenes… and on the cutting room floor.
What made this story more realistic for me were small touches that make a difference. We are given background for Emily and Wil from their lives before ever meeting on this TV show. Real, heartbreaking and full of human emotions, that glimpse into who they are away from the cameras made who they turned out to be as a couple more believable and endearing. Their approach to romance is so opposite – Wil has been hurt by love, but he still believes there is someone “out there” that will love him, bring him happiness and that he can do the same for her. Emily trusts no man, and sees love as some fairy tale sold to little girls to sell merchandise because happiness never lasts. Watching them come together was delightful. As Wil found what he knew was there for him, Emily had to fight her own demons as the reality of falling in love with this man was so removed from what she expected out of life.
Catch Me A Cowboy is full of laughter, frustrations, catty women with razor claws… and a love worth taking a risk. This one was a delightful experience that I would not hesitate to recommend to any Romance reader looking for a precious love story and a few laughs as well.
