Aspiring photographer Millie Rowan is on the verge of giving up any hope of becoming successful, but the perfect job opens up at a ski lodge in Alpine Ridge, Vermont. When she arrives, she’s awestruck by the snow-capped mountains, and inside, its romantic holiday dinners for two, roaring fire, and hot cider have her feeling festive.
While there, the handsome town chairman, Luke Thayer, catches her attention. How wonderful it would be to explore the area and its holiday events with him.
But at the annual Christmas parade, when Luke overhears Millie talking about her pitch and what she’s there to do, Christmas might not be so merry…

This is a clean, sweet romance with either closed doors/fade to black, or only kissing.

Christmas in Focus is a standalone story, featuring struggling professional photographer, Millie, as she travels to the small town of Alpine Ridge, Vermont, for a photo shoot, helping to develop a marketing plan for a local ski resort. When she meets Luke, a native and a town chairman, he will become Millie’s unofficial town tour guide as she experiences the wonder and magic of the snow-covered town all decked out in sparkle for the Christmas season. The attraction between them adds another type of magic, but… will that attraction survive when the history and the age-long feuds of this town rise to the surface?
Christmas in Focus by Lindsay Gibson is exactly what I look for in a Christmas Romance. It’s full of the magic of the holiday season, believable, even relatable characters, with a touch of mystery as the history of this small town rears its ugly head. I enjoyed watching Millie’s and Luke’s budding romance unfold, even though there are a few road bumps before that happy ever after ending can be achieved. If you love a story that comes alive through vivid descriptions of the area it’s taking place in, a couple you’ll be cheering on to find their happy ending, or a touch of mystery to puzzle out, then you’d enjoy this one.
