Convenient Wife Conditions is the first title in The Carandini Legacy duo (and Ms. Hunter’s debut with Harlequin Presents line, with several more to come).  I’ve enjoyed this author’s titles in another Harlequin line, and Massimo and Catarina’s story shows (to me) that she fits quite well in this particular line as well.

Massimo is in need of a reputation upgrade, so to speak, and Catarina is his perfect match… at least according to Massimo and her billionaire father.  No one asked Catarina what she thought of all this, so fleeing was the only option she felt that she had.  Being trapped in a loveless marriage was not her goal in life at all, yet her reaction to her on-paper fiancé shocked her.  How could she possibly be so attracted to a man who didn’t love her and swore that he never could?  Soon, that question would be answered in unexpected ways when Catarina and Massimo are trapped in her escape cabin due to a massive snowstorm.  She has this chance to turn around this loveless marriage idea… but is she brave enough to take the lead and show Massimo exactly what they could have together for a lifetime?

I enjoyed Convenient Wife Conditions so very much.  I love a fiery, strong, and yes, stubborn woman who knows exactly what she wants in life.  I also enjoy watching an equally stubborn man begin to fall, especially when he had absolutely no intention of doing so.  Their story is well-written, definitely passionate, and filled with a variety of emotions that, perhaps, neither had expected to overtake them.  I had fun here, and I’m definitely looking forward to Massimo’s twin finding his own unexpected future in the second part of this duet in Heir to Italian Altar.  If this sounds like your kind of romance, then you’d love this couple’s passionate story.
