Danger in the Wilderness is the first title in the National Park Protectors series.  Tensions run high as Dekker, a park warden, must rescue his father from a serial killer’s grip, and the person he reaches out to for help is a criminal investigative analyst, Blaire.  There’s a limit to how much time they have to find Dekker’s father before the unthinkable happens.

From the opening scenes through to the final page, I was swept along with Blaire and Dekker with such a sense of a clock ticking down the minutes, a sense of urgency is perhaps an understatement of the tension, the need to act right now.  As the killer leads them through the majestic beauty of the Yukon wilderness, Blaire will depend deeply on her faith, while Dekker struggles to regain his absolute trust.  Their unfolding attraction amidst the danger they are all facing adds another level to the intensity of their story.  Traps set by the killer, the natural dangers of the terrain, only add to the need to find Dekker’s father quickly.

I enjoyed Danger in the Wilderness by Darlene L. Turner so much, and since this is the opening story in the series, I cannot wait to discover what else is in store for us.  If you love a well-written, intense Romantic Suspense novel, with faith-based characters, an intense race against time, and a mystery that will keep you guessing throughout, then you’d love this one!
