When crucial evidence links Lisa’s case to a string of barrel racers who’ve also vanished, Logan and Izzie fight against the clock to track down a suspected serial killer.

But when he sets his sights on Izzie, can they outsmart their enemy before both women end up dead?

Titles in the Stone Creek Ranch series include:  Christmas Rodeo Killer ~ Deadly Rodeo Threat ~ Rodeo Witness Protector ~

This is a no-spice romance, perhaps with closed-door or fade-to-black scenes. Tension and kisses might be involved.  Yet, keep in mind that this story is a “Suspense” novel, so there may be some indication of violence within the storyline.

Title:  Deadly Rodeo Threat
Series:  Stone Creek Ranch #2

Publisher:  (Harlequin) Love Inspired Suspense
My Rating:  4.5 stars

Deadly Rodeo Threat is the second title in the Stone Creek Ranch series, featuring Isabelle (Izzie) and Logan as they frantically search for Logan’s missing twin sister, Lisa, while tracking down a possible serial killer.  Emotions run high as Izzie is desperate to find her friend and prevent anyone else from falling into the killer’s hands, and Logan searches for his sister, all the while trying to keep the woman he’s coming to care about safe.  The clues are there; they just have to put them together and lay a trap to lead them to a vile villain in time.

I was easily swept up in Deadly Rodeo Threat from the first page.  I’m surprised I missed the first story in this series, Christmas Rodeo Killer, but going back to it is not a chore at all.  This story is well-written, intriguing, emotional, and kept me on edge throughout.  There were some twists I didn’t see coming, which is always a positive for me, as I enjoy separating the clues from the red herrings.  If you love a solid mystery, with a couple you’ll be rooting for to not only find their own personal happy ending but end a crime spree as well, then you’d enjoy Izzie and Logan’s story.

*I received an e-ARC of this novel from the publisher via NetGalley, and I sincerely thank the author or publishing house for their trust. It is my choice to leave a review giving my personal opinion about this book.*
