Forbidden Fling with the Princess is the second title in the multi-author Royally Tempted series, featuring Xio and Edmund’s tumultuous romance. Their love is very real… so are their responsibilities.
Xio is determined to compel the best doctor in the world to care for her cousin’s (the King) wife and their unborn twins who are at risk from exactly what Edmund specializes in, medically. With some back and forth, a bit of bargaining, eventually he agrees and they head to London to ensure a successful pregnancy. Along the way, emotions run high, intense attraction is acted upon, yet their worlds are so far apart it seems impossible that they can ever have more than their no longer secret romance.
I enjoyed Xio and Edmund very much, their journey is full of attraction, passion, and choices to be made. Watching them work through the obstacles toward their future was an emotional and, at times, intense journey. If you love an impossible romance, one where choices have to be made on so many levels before the couple can find their happy ending, then you’d love Forbidden Fling with the Princess by Amy Andrews.
I have not yet read the first story in this series (although I will go back for it), and I didn’t feel the least bit lost. I’ll always recommend an entire series if at all possible, but sometimes it’s not – so you “could” read this one on its own and still have a wonderful experience.
