The youngest of three brothers, Landon Stone would do anything for his grandmother, Hattie—even return to his hometown of Moose Falls. Hattie’s heart is set on her grandsons taking over the family business—and finding their happily-ever-afters in Alaska. When Hattie gets the idea that Landon is romantically entangled with his gorgeous colleague, Bailey Daniels, Landon doesn’t just go along with it—he asks Bailey to join the ruse.
Bailey isn’t sure if she agrees because she adores Hattie for helping her family through their darkest times . . . or because she finds the charmingly nerdy Landon completely irresistible. Either way, it’s extremely easy to appear totally into him. But as they collaborate at work—and after hours—to make Hattie’s Christmas extra special, Bailey and Landon’s relationship starts to feel all too real. What if the only people Landon and Bailey are fooling this season… are themselves?

Forever in Alaska is the third title in the Moose Falls, Alaska series and will bring Hattie’s grandson, Landon, home after a long absence as he and Bailey reconnect and fall into Hattie’s matchmaking plans (mostly fake but perhaps there’s more to that situation). I purchased the first two books in this series upon being approved for this arc. Unfortunately, due to family issues and my own recurring health issues, they are still alive and well on my TBR pile. *sigh* The good part of that is I was able to easily slip into this world without having read the first books. Oh, my experience might have been enhanced, but I wasn’t the least bit lost in Bailey’s and Landon’s romance. So, I can frankly say that Forever in Alaska worked fine as a standalone for me, and you’ll enjoy the story, plus probably be tempted to go back to the beginning for Hattie’s other grandsons’ stories.
Bailey first encountered Landon during a chaotic moment in a small-town coffee shop. Men need to learn how to accept “no” and “not interested” and move on. Fortunately, Landon was nearby and easily stepped into the desperation role Bailey set him up for. Now, small towns have a grapevine… and it didn’t take long for Landon’s grandmother, Hattie, to hear about the interesting encounter and set her matchmaking schemes flying.
It was a delightful experience watching two people who are definitely interested in each other try to convince everyone else that they aren’t, and all of this “togetherness” is just for Hattie’s benefit. Yeah, right. I enjoyed watching their romance unfold and am actually looking forward to going, well, back, for Hattie’s other grandsons’ stories. It’s a well-written story, full of laughter, attraction, found family, coming home again… and at the heart, a grandmother’s love for her “boys”. If that sounds like your kind of romance, then you’ll love Forever in Alaska by Belle Calhoune.
