Hearts at a Crossroad is a short, standalone romance featuring rancher Gage and horse trainer Sadie.  Gage’s ranch is in danger of foreclosure, and the one person who should have had his back…just didn’t.  He has a very short period of time to save his legacy.  Sadie has a gift with horses.  When her apartment goes up in flames, Gage will offer her sanctuary at the ranch in exchange for her working to train his horses.  It seems, on the surface, that these two are complete opposites, but the attraction burning between them says otherwise.  Now, all they have to do is acknowledge their feelings and save the ranch… simple, right?  Not always.

I had fun with Hearts at a Crossroad by Brandi Creek.  It’s a well-written Modern Western Romance, a quick and satisfying romance with issues to be dealt with and located in a community that knows when to step in and help.  It’s a short read, one that could be enjoyed over a lunch hour break or a relaxing evening.
