Born into a legendary Boston firefighting family, phoenix shifter Ryan Fiero can’t possibly let someone best him on the training course or the job. He’d never hear the end of it. When a feisty new recruit comes along who’s determined to do just that, Ryan plots to kick her out-until their sizzling chemistry turns explosive

Read on for my thoughts on My Wild Irish Dragon. No true spoilers, promise.
Next up in the Boston Dragons series is My Wild Irish Dragon, the romance of a phoenix shifter and a lovely Irish dragon both vying for the same position with the Boston firefighters.
Chloe is determined to fill that open spot. Oh, these guys might think that she’s too small, too lightweight to be able to do the job. That’s fine, let them think what they will, she knows the inner strength of her dragon can outmatch them all, and then some. But it’s always fun to watch them try…
Ryan comes from a long line of firefighters and phoenix shifters. He’s worked for this position, but he also is under the mistaken belief that his family connections alone can get him the job. He honestly wasn’t expecting much competition given his phoenix is at the ready to lend him what strength he might need, but that one girl is surprising him. There’s something about her…
Chloe and Ryan start off as competitors, maybe fr-enemies. But that won’t last long, their chemistry is off the charts and eventually they will have to deal with each other on a more personal level.
I enjoyed My Wild Irish Dragon. Lots of shifters and various other paranormal folks will drop in, some excitement, some danger and a whole lot of two people discovering that just perfect for them person. I admit to having a soft spot for Shifters, especially when the unusual shifters appear like a phoenix. I adored Chloe but to be honest, at times Ryan’s childishness grated a bit. Oh, I got it’s a coping habit, a way of blowing off steam if you will, but there were times when I didn’t want the childish Ryan, I wanted the man. Nitpicking, maybe. Yet I’ve read enough firefighter stories over the years, both contemporary and paranormal to know that it’s possible to have the escape valve but never loose the man. Again, that was my reaction, it might not be yours so simply a thought.
In all, I enjoyed this story and would definitely recommend it for any Paranormal Romance reader, especially those Shifter lovers out there… I know, me too.
