It’s the eve of a Congressional budget battle, and all through the House, all the pundits are spinning and so is a…stripper ’round her pole…
Natalie Hayes thinks she has her hands full. She’s been charged with planning a staff Christmas party, on a yacht, featuring a ballet troupe. If that wasn’t complicated enough, her feelings for her congressman boss have become, well, complicated.
Things go from bad to worse when a stripper shows up at the party instead of the Snow Queen. Mayhem ensues, putting Natalie’s gift for spin to the test. With her boss’s reputation at stake, as well as her job, can Natalie undo this scandal or will dirty politics triumph again?
Read on for my thoughts on Nine Ladies Dancing. No true spoilers, promise.
Capitol Hill is not a very happy place just before Christmas this year – no signed budget, no budget at all really. But in spite of the differences and difficulties Rob, Natalie’s congressman boss, decides to throw a Christmas party. Yeah, probably not the greatest idea in Washington, D. C. history.
Unfortunately, the ballerina that was supposed to show instead looked a lot like a stripper performing with her pole. Not a good idea – unless you’re out to discredit a politician. Natalie has her hands full trying to explain this one, and catch a bad guy too.
Nine Ladies Dancing is a fun, fast story. Politics never change. 🙂
