I knew ranch life would be messy… but I didn’t expect it to personally attack me.

Rancher’s New Beginning is the second title in the Ironwood Bluff Ranch series (although it could be read as a standalone), which brings the delightful, often chaotic lives of Tanner and Emery into full bloom as this devoted couple face a lot of life’s unexpected… surprises.

Emery and Tanner are building a ranching life together, even as they expect their first child to be born very, very soon.  Alongside their devoted sidekick dog, Boone, the cleptomanic pup, they’re facing the reality of ranch life and impending parenthood.  Aside from being completely hormonal and already sleep-deprived, Emery is doing her best to keep an even temper and an upbeat attitude as minor troubles turn into major chaos across the ranch.  It isn’t easy, but no one guaranteed that it would be (that’s for sure).  When their daughter arrives early, this couple will have even more to celebrate… and more on their plates as a scoundrel emerges from the woodwork to cause even more damage, and put their faith in their future in jeopardy.

I enjoyed Rancher’s New Beginning by Olivia Kay so much.  It’s a charming yet realistic story of love, of facing whatever comes your way with determination and each other side-by-side.  There were so many things that could have broken Tanner and Emery, but they learned their life lessons, even if it took a bit of time.  Watching them face the difficulties, triumphs, and the joy of their daughter’s arrival was an emotional journey that I thoroughly enjoyed.  If you enjoy a well-written, emotional, believable romance with a couple that you cannot help but root for their happiness, then you’re going to love this one.
