Read on for my thoughts on License to Date. No true spoilers, promise.
I adored Kaitlin and Paul’s story. Since it is a short read I’ll not tell you too much more of the story, that would spoil it for your own reading pleasure.
But Kaitlin had agreed to a date deal with two of her friends. In exchange for her going out on five dates, they would help her paint the interior of her newly purchased home… and that would include a lot of wall space and moldings for sure. Now to be fair, her friends only wanted her to get back into the dating scene after finding out that her scum of an almost husband had cheated on her.. and she found out it was her sister he cheated with, while introducing them to each other at her bridal shower. Jerk. After that, Kaitlin had sworn off men…forever, can’t say I blame her either.
Kaitlin thinks she has this figured out. She’d set up five dates, five days in a row and by the weekend her friends would be elbow deep in paint. Simple. Easy. Done.
That is until she met Paul, a bartender at the place of her first date. He was far more interesting than any of the men she had lined up for this date deal .. but wait, she was off of men. Maybe she’d end up rethinking that one.
As Kaitlin goes through her dates, always meeting them at the hotel bar where Paul was bartending – Paul got a good idea of the kind of men that were not meant for Kaitlin. Good thing, because he was the right man for her, he just had to show that to her… in time.
I really enjoyed License to Date. Watching the comedy of Kaitlin’s deal dates was so much fun. Of course, we know that Paul’s the one for her we just have to wait for Kaitlin to catch up.
I have loved every story in the Better Date Than Never series. If you haven’t read them yet – go check them out. This one gets a 4 outta 5 on my rating scale. I recommend it to anyone who enjoys a sweet, fun love story.
*I received an e-ARC of License to Date from the publisher and NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. That does not change what I think of this novel.*
