Five bounty-hunting sisters
Deep in the heart of the Rockies
Fighting to save each other
…and the men who steal their hearts

Cara Pax never wanted to be a bounty hunter. She’s happy to leave chasing criminals and tackling skips to her sisters. But if she wants her dreams of escaping the family business to come true, she’s got one last job to finish… Only problem is, she doesn’t think her bounty is guilty.

Henry Kavenski is a man with innocence to prove. When he realizes that Cara believes him, he’ll do anything to keep her out of harm’s way. Escaping criminals and dodging cops might not be the best time to fall in love, but Henry and Cara won’t give up, not when there’s a chance at a new life ahead–if they can survive the fall.

Titles in the Rocky Mountain Bounty Hunters series include — Any Means Necessary (Prequel in anthology Turn The Tide-which I have read but not reviewed on KB) – In Her Sights –  Risk It All

My Rating:  4.5 stars

Risk It All is the second title in the Rocky Mountain Bounty Hunters series – and am I ever enjoying, no, make that loving the adventures and the personalities of the Pax sisters.  Talk about kick butt and take names… even Cara who usually does the research part of their bounty hunting operation gets into the action this time, to dangerous, intriguing, romantic, and at times, humourous results.  I’ll say upfront that I loved this one and definitely need more, right now, please.

Cara and Henry make that couple that I just smile at throughout their story.  Henry has been accused of murder, he’s innocent but he fled in order to track down the true villain in his situation.  Cara has research experience but no actual in the field experience on bringing in a skip but she’s decided that Henry will be her first.  Her mother’s actions have put the entire family in danger so she’s going to do what she can to help.  Only things don’t go exactly as she envisioned when she left home to start this self-assignment.

I enjoyed Risk It All so much.  Without going into details for this story should be read firsthand for your own enjoyment, Cara’s and Henry’s story is full of danger, laughter, intrigue, sweet moments and sizzling chemistry.  There are twists, a vile villain, and an intriguing secondary character cast.  The story flowed for me and I was easily caught up in it all.  Although this story “could” be read as a standalone I believe you’ll understand the underlying thread woven throughout the series more if you’ve started at the beginning.  But that’s my opinion.  In all, I had a great time with this adventure and would not hesitate to recommend it to any reader who loves Romantic Suspense or simply a damned good story.

*I received an e-ARC of this novel from the publisher via NetGalley. That does not change what I think of this story.  It is my choice to leave a review giving my personal opinion about this book.*
