Cover Description:
All Holly Tyler wants is a fantastic career, a not-too-committed relationship, and a city where there are no painful memories. Instead, she’s called back to her hometown of Seashell Bay to help with her family’s struggling general store. It’s a town where everyone knows everyone, and where one man could sink Holly’s careful plans.
Deputy Sheriff Micah Lancaster has wanted Holly for as long as he can remember. He knows she has a life on the mainland—and a boyfriend—and that there’s no real future with her. But now Holly is back and the attraction still flickers between them, a promise of something more. Their desire is stronger than any undertow . . . and once it pulls them under, it won’t let go.
See You At Sunset is a delightfully charming story of friends to lovers, or even second chances at love. Holly has returned home to help her Aunts run their store. In her mind it was temporary as she had major decisions to make about where her life would be taking her – and she didn’t feel that it would be here back home.
Micah was just happy to see Holly again. He’s had feelings for her most of his life and considered her one of his best friends, even if he would have wanted their relationship to be so much more. Now she’s back home, and it might be just for a while in Holly’s mind – but he has every intention of changing her mind to make this her permanent residence, with him at her side.
I love a small town romance with characters who draw you into their world. The secondary characters in the Seashell Bay series are a major part of its charm for me. There is a light mystery woven through Holly and Micah’s story but certainly not enough to take anything away from these friends discovering that they are so much better together than apart… even if Holly needs to be convinced at first.
If you’re looking for a Romance with lots of “feels good” moments and a lovely couple to root for – then See You At Sunset would be a perfect read for you. Love is always worth a second chance, especially when the one you love is also a best friend.
*I received an e-ARC of See You At Sunset from the publisher, Grand Central Publishing – Forever and NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. That does not change what I think of this novel.*
