Cover Description:

Micah Carpenter hates New Orleans. Hell, after ten years he no longer has much affection for the Deacons of Bourbon Street motorcycle club, either. But when the brotherhood calls, Micah answers. Joining the hunt for their mentor’s killer, he crosses paths with a Southern belle who exudes class—and sex appeal. Micah knows better than to mess with ice princesses: No matter how hot things get, they never melt. And yet he can’t stop himself from offering her a taste of the wrong side of the tracks.

Sarah Delacroix understands that reputation is everything. The daughter of a prominent family rocked by scandal, she’s desperate to restore their good name. Micah’s exactly the kind of man she should be avoiding. Behind his sleek and sophisticated exterior beats the heart of a predator—and she knows it. But, like the tattoos beneath his tailored suit, his rough edges are irresistible. And all too soon Sarah finds him getting under her skin . . . and living out every one of her hottest fantasies.

Read on for my thoughts on Strip You Bare.  No true spoilers, promise.

We’ve come to the conclusion of the Deacons of Bourbon Street series.  And what a send off it was.  We know what happened to Priest (no, no spoilers you should read this one yourself).  Almost all the strings have been tied up in knots (no bows for these guys)… and if there are a couple things I’d still like to know for certain, well maybe one day I’ll get that chance.  Overall, Maisey Yates brought these bad boys’ story to an amazing end and I’ve definitely enjoyed my time with them all in New Orleans.

Micah and Sarah were a good match together.   Each brought something to the mix that the other was missing.  The biker bad boy turned businessman but still with the heart and soul of that bad boy – the Southern belle, icy, pure and looking for answers.  Two people that shouldn’t have worked but they did in their own unique way.  It’s difficult to not choose favorite couples in a series, I normally love them all pretty equally – but Micah and Sarah touched a part of my heart and I really wanted them to find a way to that happy ending together.

I enjoyed the series, and I really enjoyed the way that Strip You Bare brought it all to a satisfying conclusion.  If you enjoy MC Romance or Contemporary Romance, this this story and this series should be on your radar (if you haven’t experienced it yet).  I’m gonna miss those Deacons of Bourbon Street and their feisty ladies.

*I received an e-ARC of Strip You Bare from the publisher, Loveswept and NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. That does not change what I think of this novel.*

(my apologies to both the author, Maisey Yates and the publishing house, Loveswept for the delay in getting this review out – unfortunately, life happened and chaos resulted for a few months)
