Can they help each other forgive their pasts and start anew? A Christmas Secret could bring them both fresh starts
Read on for my thoughts on The Cowboy’s Christmas Secret. No true spoilers, promise.
The Cowboy’s Christmas Secret is a moving story about life, changes, forgiveness and moving forward.
Emma is changing her life. After settling her mother’s affairs, and dealing with a divorced husband who just will not give up even when he was the one in the wrong – Emma is ready for some peace. And that she hopes to find while living in her uncle’s treehouse. A delightful creation of a true home, in miniature size built among the sturdy branches of a long lived, huge tree on the edge of his property. She’s here to write and not make any long term decisions for at least a month. One month of peace and finding where she needs to be in life.
During her first moments back in the tree she meets Jackson, who at one time had also lived in this tree as he searched for his own peace. He had been injured and badly burned during a fire in his parent’s barn – a fire started by drug users under the cover of darkness when no one from the house could see them late at night. A fire that went horribly wrong leaving Jackson to change the direction of his own life as he sought justice and hoped to one day set revenge aside for the act of forgiveness. To do that he needed to find those who had started the fire and get answers.
The Cowboy’s Christmas Secret is a leisurely trip through the building of a romance and the discovery of peace at last for both Jackson and Emma. A beautiful story of change and chance that will touch your heart.
