Cover Description:
North Pole engineer Garrett McCree values his peace and quiet above all else, and his life runs according to a carefully crafted master plan. Until, that is, Santa Claus asks Garrett to play chaperone to the winner of the North Pole Prize essay contest. Out of loyalty to Santa, Garrett reluctantly agrees. After all, how much trouble can one woman possibly be?
But when beautiful and vivacious Angelique Devereaux, a Christmas-loving, serial gift giver arrives at Christmas Central, Garrett soon realizes the answer to that question. Predictable is out, spontaneous is in, and Garrett’s heart will never be the same.
Read on for my thoughts on The North Pole Prize. No true spoilers, promise.
As an engineer who loves Christmas and Santa Claus pretty much equally, Garrett is a genius at creating useful and beautiful pieces of equipment. When it comes to human interaction, like between a man and a woman – not so much. The very last thing Garrett expected was for Santa to put him in charge of catering, tending and constantly being in the same space as the bubbly, constantly happy essay winner. And the absolute, positively final thing he ever expected was to find a woman he could love.
Angelique loves Christmas, Santa, elves, magic and giving – lots and lots of gift giving. Her joyous attitude toward anything Christmas related should lighten Garrett’s heart, for he loves the same things… just in a solo type of way. While Angie is on a whirlwind visit to Christmas Central she is determined to gather up enough memories to last a lifetime. And maybe spread a little Christmas cheer herself. She never expected to find the man who would steal her heart with a sexy brogue and a kiss.
The North Pole Prize is simply a charming, fun Christmas novella. I adore the Christmas Central stories, it’s like coming home to old friends with each new one.
Can’t get enough Christmas stories? Does the discovery of a new to you Christmas novel fill your heart with Christmas joy? Me, too! Then you’ll enjoy this one.
