Holly and Beau’s relationship started off on a passionate yet rocky beginning… a spur-of-the-moment night with fake names comes back to bite them both in ways neither is ready for.  Holly has taken the veterinarian position in a very small town.  Hopefully, it’s small enough to keep her ex far, far away.  Now she’s dealing with the aftermath of an impulsive one-night stand.  She should have known that in a town this small, she’d run into him again, only she didn’t expect him to be the rancher she’d have to see professionally.

Beau has a full plate already.  The family ranch has some major troubles brewing, and he’s yet to get to the bottom of it all.  The last thing he needed was to be tempted by the woman he spent one night with, one night that he unreasonably wanted more of.  That both gave fake names is something to get beyond, if they can ever trust each other enough to even try.

I enjoyed The Rancher and The Veterinarian.  Holly and Beau’s romance is well-written, passionate, and emotional, with enough suspense to keep me engaged throughout.  If secret flings, danger looming, and a couple who strike sparks, verbally, physically, and emotionally, off of each other, is your kind of romance, then you’ll enjoy this one.
