Wed to the Wrong Prince is the first story in the Rival Royals duet/series.  There might have been a time when Livia dreamed of a future with Gustav… might.  But she was younger then and believed in fairy tales; she doesn’t anymore.  Gustav made certain of that.  Today she’s engaged in an arranged marriage, one she’s agreed to in order to protect her younger sister.  It certainly isn’t what she once dreamed of for her future.  Until that wretched fairy tale came back to life when her fiancé goes missing, and his brother steps into his place at the altar… his brother, Gustav.

They’d been so young back then, back before he knowingly broke a young woman’s heart.  But Gustav will not see Livia married to his brother for any reason, missing or not, for she is his.  And he will be standing at that altar with her.  This might be the biggest risk of his life, but his country and this woman are worth it.

I enjoyed Wed to the Wrong Prince.  Livia and Gustav certainly have a heated relationship in all ways.  Their past needs to be understood, faced, and dealt with before they can find the happiness they both deserve… it will take time, but it’s so worth the risks for them both.  Their story is well-written, emotional, passionate, and kept me fully engaged throughout.  It is often intense; misunderstandings will abound, but eventually they’ll find a way to that happy future they both deserve.  If that sounds like your kind of Contemporary Romance, then you’d enjoy this one.
