Snow is falling, tempers are flaring… but opposites attract…
Stevie Evans is over the moon when her best friend announces she’s getting married. She’s all in for the planning… until she learns she’ll be working side-by-side with the bride’s oh-so-serious brother, Brant. Years ago, sparks flew between them—of the argument variety—and she’s kept her distance ever since. But this time, the aisle is too short to avoid him, and the spark feels suspiciously like attraction.
Brant Gilroy likes his life neat, predictable, and well-structured—unlike Stevie, who’s basically a walking bundle of chaos. But with his career suddenly on shaky ground, and his sister’s dream wedding set for the family’s tree farm, he can’t say no to helping… even if it means teaming up with the one woman who drives him up a wall.
As wedding decorations are hung and snowflakes fall, their clash of styles starts to look a lot like sizzling chemistry. But can two former enemies pull off a picture-perfect wedding—and maybe discover they’re the perfect match?

A Holiday Wedding Rescue is the second title in the Big Sky, Small Town series. If you love the totally opposites attract or grumpy/sunshine or even kinda enemies to lovers tropes… well, have I got a story for you to devour.
When they were teenagers, Stevie tried to help her friend, Kara, deal with the death of her parents in an accident through a prank that got them both in trouble. Brant (Kara’s brother) didn’t handle the backlash of that act well at all and held Stevie responsible with a blistering argument that neither has forgotten, even years later. It might have remained a thorn in their sides if Kara weren’t deployed, and planning a wedding at her family’s tree farm… but she can’t be there to get everything ready. She’s asked her best friend and her brother to set aside their “feud” and work together to make her day memorable.
Brant would do anything for his sister, but working with Stevie is pushing that limit. She’s absolute chaos, while he’s as no-nonsense as a person could possibly be. In addition, he’s trying so hard to deal with the family business and the issues happening around him. Does he have time or the inclination to work with a woman who sets off his temper like no one else ever has? No. But there really is no other choice. Lives (and attitudes) are about to change as two people set aside the past and lean into the attraction that neither can deny… and perhaps, find their own happy ending as well.
I had so much fun with A Holiday Wedding Rescue by Jeannie Watt. It’s well-written, emotional, and full of laughter, a few tears, learning to let go of the past, and healing long overdue. Brant is such a stick-in-the-mud kinda guy, Stevie is beyond sunshine and chaos… yet together they work. Their story is charming, believable, and so very worth your time. So dive in and enjoy.
