Anything for His Baby is the eleventh title in the Crimson, Colorado series, bringing together Paige, Shep, and his adorable toddler daughter, Rosie.  On the surface, Paige and Shep might seem an unlikely couple, for they are very different, yet at their core, they are exactly what each other and Rosie need most of all.

Paige is trying to resurrect the B&B that her grandmother had run for several years, but it’s not going as well as it could.  While Paige has the vision for it, her mother actually owns the inn right now since she inherited it after Paige’s grandmother passed away.  Despite her best efforts, the inn is a moneypit, money she doesn’t have, and her mother, in her great, overly protective mode, has decided to sell it out from under her.  She has one shot to prove she can make this inn profitable, but she might lose her heart in the process.

Shep’s company has purchased the old, neglected ski lodge/ski lift in Crimson.  He has big plans for the ski resort, but he needs Paige’s inn’s property for an access road up to the lodge.  And he’s simply bought the property from her mother over Paige’s objections.  Paige has one card up her sleeve that might save her dream… or break her heart for other reasons.

When Shep discovered he had a daughter, Rosie, and that she had had a traumatic experience with a babysitter, he tried everything he could think of to calm the toddler long enough for him to do his job.  But little Rosie is terrified when her daddy is out of her sight, until the “baby whisperer,” otherwise known as Paige, is around.  She’ll make a deal with Shep, one that might save her inn, and give Shep the help he needs with his daughter.  Neither expected the attraction between them, and neither wants to lose the bet that will determine the ownership of the inn.  And maybe, they already have that found family between them, if they’d be willing to take a few risks on each other.

I enjoyed Anything for His Baby by Michelle Major.  Paige and Shep have some issues between them to figure out before that happy ever after ending can be realized, yet watching them work through those issues in a realistic, believable way was a delightful journey.  If you enjoy a well-written, emotional romance with a couple you’ll want to find their happiness, then you’ll love this one.
