Coming Home to Crimson is the tenth title in the Crimson, Colorado series, this time featuring a daughter returning home for the first time in ages after putting an end to her engagement to a cheating louse in a most spectacular way to face the brother and father she believes deserted her years ago.  Along with Cole, the town’s newish sheriff, who finds himself in the crosshairs of Sienna’s sarcasm, and an unmistakable attraction to a woman with trouble printed on her forehead.

When Sienna was a young girl, her mother fled a marriage where her husband loved his liquor more than he seemed to love his family.  A decision was made for her older brother, Jase, to stay in Crimson with their father.  She has resented and perhaps felt abandoned by her father and her brother for most of her life.  Unfortunately, a young child’s memories don’t always tell the true story of how events unfolded… and Sienna is about to discover far more than she ever expected about what was true and what was a lie.

Cole has family issues, enough so that he’s determined to remain single, not even thinking about a long-term relationship.  He’s estranged from his twin brother and is still struggling to come to terms with his father’s betrayal and his mother’s death.  The past haunts him to the point where he’s never looked for any relationship beyond today… until a spitfire with attitude came into his life with her drama, her confusion, and her hard-fought-for love.  They each have to rethink the past and be willing to take some risks before their happy ending can come true.

I enjoyed Coming Home to Crimson by Michelle Major very much.  It’s a well-written, emotional, and believable romance with twists and turns I didn’t always see coming.
