Title:  Doctor’s Nine-Month Rival
Series:  Paging Dr. Morrison #2
Author:  Kristine Lynn
Published:  March 31, 2026
Publisher:  Harlequin Medical
My Rating:  4 stars

Doctor’s Nine-Month Rival is the second title in the multi-author duo/series, Paging Dr. Morrison, and brings us an intense rivalry between two doctors who want the same dream job… and a budding relationship that is impacted by an unexpected pregnancy.

Overall, I liked this story… but I also didn’t fall in love with the attitudes and actions of some of the characters.  The word “rival” is in the title for a reason, and these two definitely are rivals for the same job, even though their chemistry is off the charts.  Their story is well-written, passionate (in differing ways), and emotional.  The storytelling wasn’t my issue; it was top-notch, as I expect from this author’s work. Unfortunately, my dislike of a character was an issue.  Yet my reaction to a particular character doesn’t define the author’s work… I just didn’t connect with one person enough to care about their outcome.  This title is a prime example of no two readers read the same story; you might feel totally different… and that’s okay.

*I received an e-ARC of this novel from the publisher via NetGalley, and I sincerely thank the author or publishing house for their trust. It is my choice to leave a review giving my personal opinion about this book.*
