Found: Their Forever Family is the second title in the US Search and Rescue series, this time bringing us a couple who were once classmates… and perhaps more.  Being reunited sets off sparks, yet both have known joy and loss in the years in between, and trusting someone else with their hearts again is a risk.

I enjoyed Callie and EZ’s romance as they navigate growing feelings, their children’s friendship, and their fears.  It’s those fears and how EZ reacts to them that had me understanding his hesitation, yet wishing that he would put a little faith in what he and Callie were building.  There was unnecessary hurt dealt, at least in my opinion, by his actions.  Dealing with loss is such a personal experience that no two people ever react exactly the same way.  In order to have the bright, combined future ahead of them that all four deserved, the adults have to make some choices, perhaps risk their hearts a bit, and trust that what they were building could stand up against whatever the future dealt to them.

Their story is well-written, emotional, with a satisfying ending.  If you enjoy a romance where healing is just as vital as the falling-in-love part, then you’d love Found: Their Forever Family.
