Title: His Alaskan Christmas

My Rating: 4.5 stars
His Alaskan Christmas is the second title in the Swan Falls, Alaska series, introducing us to Emily, a widow with two young children and an engineer with a job that requires her to be away from home for two weeks each month. Also, Nick, a close family friend, is an airline pilot who is suddenly sidelined from flying with a bit of time on his hands.
I loved everything about His Alaskan Christmas, from the depth of the friendships to the fun holiday events, and, of course, that special ending that gave me all the feels I could possibly ask for. Nick makes the perfect “manny” while Emily is on the job, and Janice (her mother-in-law and the kids’ grandmother) goes off on an unexpected dream vacation. He might not have ever expected to have kids of his own, but Max and Lyla’s special “Uncle” Nic fit so perfectly into their lives that it’s going to be hard to leave.
The change in dynamics between Emily and Nick, from friend of her husband/family friend to a slowly growing attraction leading into a happy ever after kind of love, was developed naturally, and so smoothly that it became hard to imagine them with anyone else. Toss in some Christmas magic, and you have a Christmas Romance that will easily capture your heart.
If you devour a Christmas Romance that’s well-written, full of fun, laughter, and changing family dynamics with all the feels imaginable, plus one adorable dog in Nala… then you’re going to fall in love with His Alaskan Christmas by Beth Carpenter.
