Pregnant Behind the Veil is the third title in the Brides for Greek Brothers series, featuring Alessandra (Lexi) and Michail as they navigate the consequences of a one-night stand and connections that neither knew about one fateful night.

Alessandra has had to do some difficult things in her life, but they all faded to nothing when she faced the father of her baby in a conference room, detailing the terms of his horrid father’s will, dictating how his sons must jump through one final, unfair loop to please an arrogant, evil, abusive father.  To say Michail was furious as she read off the stipulations to the will, as he took in her obvious five-month baby bump, would be an understatement.  Five months ago, she’d used her nickname, Lexi, during an impulsive flirting moment with a stranger… a man she’d had no idea was the evil Lucifer Drakos’ son.  Now, she was about to pay the consequences of that intimate connection with a man she couldn’t forget, with the father of their child.

To say that seeing the woman he knew as Lexi, the woman he’d been searching for in the room with his half-brothers, spewing forth their father’s evil plans to continue to manipulate his sons, while obviously pregnant, filled Michail with complete rage would be an understatement.  She had to have been working this insidious plan alongside his father, one more way to ensure that dear ol’ dead dad had his final say in Michail’s life. No, it wasn’t happening… and Lucifer wasn’t the only man who knew how to enact revenge.

While I’ve enjoyed this entire trilogy, I have to say that I think the author saved the best for last, as Alessandra and Michail together are explosive, with so much pain hidden behind the masks they wear.  By the story’s ending, we’ll understand exactly why Michail acted toward Alessandra as he did, running hot, then cold, caring, then indifferent.  He’s a man who has survived an evil man’s games, given his mother the best life he could, and built his own fortune entirely on his own.  He’s driven, and he’s also in love with Alessandra and has absolutely no clue how to tell her he was wrong, or how to speak of his love for her and their baby… but he’ll learn, with some sound advice from his brothers.

I had such a good time with Pregnant Behind the Veil by Emmy Grayson; it’s well-written, emotional, sensual, and at times, painful to watch as events unfold.  If you love an intense romance with characters you’ll want to find their happy ending, then you’d love this one.
