Puppy Toys & Sleigh Bells is the fifth title in the Kringle Falls, Vermont series.  It’s official: the Christmas Romance season is open.  Jennifer Faye’s Kringle Falls, Vermont series has returned with even more Christmas Romance to fill my holiday-loving heart.  Four more stories from this magical town, where Santa surely has a secret hideout, and I’m loving it.  Last year, I thought I’d said goodbye to this delightful town, only to realize now that even more couples are waiting to find their happy ending… along with a slew of puppies to wiggle, do zoomies, matchmake a bit, and just steal my heart.

Leah has always sought answers from her extended family; she longs for roots, and with her mother’s passing, she’s certain all avenues to finding those answers have closed.  Until she receives notice that she’s inherited her grandmother’s B&B in Vermont.  Inheriting her grandmother’s estate might finally give her answers… she just didn’t expect to find the love of her life, too, thanks to a matchmaking puppy.

Shaun’s life is upended by a nasty divorce.  He focuses on his company and the volunteer work he does alongside his father.  This time, he’s delivering rescue puppies, and while he enjoys the work, an ice storm is heading his way, and he and one lone puppy need shelter.  He swore nothing could touch his heart again, but that was before he met the charming innkeeper, Leah, and discovered the magical town of Kringle Falls, Vermont.

Now, let’s be very clear.  The true hero of this story… is Mochi, one adorable, goofy, matchmaking pup who just doesn’t take no for an answer from her chosen humans.  She easily steals every single scene she’s in and won my heart immediately.  Their story is well-written, engaging, and emotional, and it easily drew me back into the world of rescue puppies, the magic of Christmas, and a town that always feels magical.  The road to their happy ending won’t be easy for Leah and Shaun; there are bumps ahead, but if they hold on, their future is brighter than either ever expected.  I adored Puppy Toys & Sleigh Bells.  If this sounds like your kind of no-spice Christmas Romance, you’ll love this one.
