Amnesia. Surprise pregnancy. Marriage of convenience. One rugged Montana cowboy who must fall in love with the mother of his child… twice.
Laurel Sheridan came to Coffee Creek, Montana, to be maid of honor at her best friend’s wedding, not to have a passionate affair with the best man, Corb Lambert. Still, it happens. When tragedy strikes the morning of the wedding, and Corb is seriously injured in a car accident, his memory of their time together is gone. But the consequences—an unplanned pregnancy—are all too real.
When Laurel tells Corb he’s her baby’s father, Corb wants her to give up her life in New York so they can raise the child together in Coffee Creek, Montana. But Laurel has misgivings about the plan. She’s in love with this cowboy, and she wants more than a marriage of convenience.
As Corb grapples with the blank spaces in his past, Laurel faces an impossible choice: protect her heart…or take a chance that a man who doesn’t remember her can fall for her all over again.

Remember Me Always, Cowboy begins the Coffee Creek, Montana series with an intense, realistic situation that immediately drew me into the story. Laurel has come to this small town for her best friend, Winnie’s wedding. She’s delighted to stand up with her as she begins her marriage adventure, and the sparks that fly between Laurel and Corb, the best man, are hot enough to ignite a bonfire. Laurel and Corb have a connection that neither expected, but definitely intend to explore. Until tragedy struck… and lives were forever changed. When Laurel discovers that she’s pregnant, and Corb has no memory of their feelings for each other, she’s going to have to face some difficult choices. Agree to the “marriage-of-convenience” Corb offers, insisting that they raise the child in Montana on the family ranch, which means leaving her life back in New York City far behind. Or make the difficult choice of leaving the man she loves fiercely, but who has no clue about the connection they formed, the feelings that quickly grew between them. Can she settle for a marriage without any chance of love, should Corb never recover those memories of their time together, hoping that he can fall in love with her all over again?
I absolutely loved Remember Me Always, Cowboy. The emotions simply flow through the page, and there are so many of them on several different layers. Devastating sadness, guilt, confusion, fear, comfort, love, with an underlying feeling of being out of control for both Laurel and Corb. We’ll meet several characters who will eventually have their own stories told, some recurring secondary characters who bring this small town to life, and people making decisions in the most tense, difficult moments of anyone’s life. To say this is an intense romance is, in my opinion, an understatement. There is one character who, well, rubbed me the wrong way. For now, I’m putting that reaction down to their grief; we’ll see how or if they mellow over the course of the series. Laurel and Corb’s romance is well-written, emotional, passionate, and full of questions for which answers may never arrive. I can’t wait to dive into the next story in the series. If this sounds like your kind of emotional Modern Western Romance, then you’d love the beginning of the Coffee Creek, Montana series.
