COWBOY WANTED by Linda Lael Miller
A painful divorce has brought Kendra Spencer home from Seattle to sunny Copper Ridge, Arizona. Despite a comfortable settlement, Kendra needs to keep busy—and keep herself from stalking her ex on social media. So she starts waitressing at the local diner, finding comfort in the regulars and her thankfully ordinary days. . . . Until far from ordinary newcomer Gage Elder walks in. Not only is he a champion bronc rider, but also turns out he’s a widower—and maybe the one man understanding enough, kind enough—not to mention charming enough—to inspire Kendra to put the past behind her, and open her heart once more.
ONE MORE SUMMER WITH YOU by Maisey Yates
Between a fiancé with cold feet and a blocked promotion at the law firm where she works, it’s as good a time as any for Jane Cahill to help out at the Oregon camp where she spent her summers as a troubled teen. But the place brings up a mix of memories, mostly about Spencer Quinn, who has also returned to volunteer. Now a ranch owner, Spencer was Jane’s romance of three summers—plus one unforgettable night. In fact, neither has ever forgotten the other. And though fears about the future led Jane to break away, that future has arrived—and maybe this summer will be the one to last a lifetime.

Title: Summer with My Cowboy
Series: Two authors/Novellas/One Book
Author: Linda Lael Miller and Maisey Yates
Published: April 28, 2026
Publisher: Kensington Books
My Rating: 4.5 stars
I love a 2-in-1 book, especially when those novellas are by two of my favorite authors, Linda Lael Miller and Maisey Yates. I’ve been reading their amazing stories for many, many years now, and I can frankly say that neither has ever disappointed me… and I always go back for more with each new release either as a duo or individually.
This time around, Summer with My Cowboy brings us two delightful tales of second chance romances, one a new start second chance and the other a reunion second chance to get love right this time.
Cowboy Wanted by Linda Lael Miller: Kendra is finally on her own after a difficult divorce from one nasty piece of work, now ex-husband, and his equally disgusting family, who all destroyed her life in so many ways. She’s returned home to the house her grandmother left her, taken a job as a waitress at the local diner, and is simply getting through the day while healing from the trauma of her former marriage. Gage is a widower, a former champion rodeo/bronc rider who is buying a local ranch, setting out on the second part of his life away from the rodeo circuit. He’s had no interest in romance since his wife’s death, but Kendra’s kindness has sparked an attraction that he finds he doesn’t want to ignore. Watching these two heal from their pasts and open their hearts to new possibilities together was a delightful and emotional journey.
One More Summer With You by Maisey Yates: Jane and Spencer were once teen lovers at summer camp. Three years and those summers together weren’t enough to calm Jane’s fears of their future… and they moved on. Life happened, situations changed, and now Jane, a successful adult, has returned to the camp that helped her so much in her youth as a counselor. She never expected Spence to be there too, or for that love between them so many years ago to spark back to life as if no time had passed at all. Although the shorter of the two novellas, Jane and Spence already had a past, and their reunion as adults was an emotional experience that fit them well, making perfect sense for where they were now emotionally.
Both stories are well-written, emotional, and passionate, with laughter mixed in with the tears as love heals old wounds and offers new possibilities. I enjoyed both Kendra and Gage, and Jane and Spence’s journeys to a happy ending, and would not hesitate to recommend Summer with My Cowboy to any reader who loves a really good happily-ever-after ending.
