Read on for my thoughts on The Girl Who Wouldn’t Die.  No true spoilers, promise.

Not every book is going to be for every reader.  Unfortunately, this one wasn’t for me.

It’s a good story, well written yet I simply could not connect with the characters.  It would appeal to many readers, I’m sure.  The story is of a search for a bomber who is targeting University students and using them as human bombs.  I picked up on the bad guy pretty early on – the rest for me was simply waiting for the story to catch up and do the reveal.  But as I said, I simply didn’t care one way or the other who died, who did it or who didn’t.  For me, I  believe the location of the novel had a lot to do with my disinterest.  Local idioms, ways of speaking and not understand relative locations… was part of the reason I didn’t connect.

I just couldn’t get into it, and for that I am sorry… but it’s the honest reaction requested by NetGalley.

If a detailed, many layered crime story is what you enjoy then this novel would be right up your alley.

*I received an e-ARC of The Girl Who Wouldn’t Die from the publisher and NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. That does not change what I think of this novel.*
