The Magical Christmas Cottage is the third title in the Charmed Love series, this time bringing Alina and Carter together in a heartwarming, magical way.  Alina has recently accepted a position in Hazard and is renting a room in Hazel’s (president of the historical society) cottage.  Hazel suddenly collapses, suffering a stroke, and fortunately, Alina is there to ensure she has immediate medical help.  Perhaps, unfortunately, this situation will have Hazel’s grandson, Carter, returning home with plans for Hazel’s future… plans that Alina is certain that the grand lady she met would not approve of.  

But Carter has reasons of his own, deep, painful reasons as to why there is no way he will remain in Hazard to oversee his grandmother’s care.  While somewhat at odds with each other, they will agree to pack up Hazel’s home.  One impulsive action, two magical wedding rings, and four opinionated cats are about to change Alina’s and Carter’s worldview dramatically… and perhaps open the way to healing and love for them both.

I loved The Magical Christmas Cottage by Aimee O’Brian.  It’s full of healing moments, laughter and sad memories, touches of whimsy and magic, and feline shenanigans.  And two wounded souls who will find their happiness, their happy ending, in an unexpected forever kind of love.  Add in the historical aspects of the town of Hazard, and, of course, the absolute charm of a magical Christmas, rediscovered for them both… and you have a story that pulled at my heartstrings and gave me such a satisfying reading experience.  If that sounds like a Christmas Romance you’d enjoy, then Alina and Carter’s story is a perfect fit for you.
