Hot-shot firefighter Zachary Langley craves anonymity after his daring rescue of campers caught in a wildfire catapults him to fame—especially with his famous talk show host mother using his story for ratings. He’s hoping his move to Marietta, Montana, will help him escape the spotlight. When he’s roped into helping Tulip “Tilly” Bloom organize an ambitious Christmas extravaganza, he’s less than thrilled.

Tilly’s set on proving her worth by pulling off a new and unforgettable holiday event highlighting their beautiful mountain town. But with the handsome Zach watching her every move, Tilly worries she’ll be distracted by the hottie and the inconvenient sparks flying amid the twinkling lights, snow-dusted streets, and holiday cheer.

As their chemistry ignites, will the secrets they hide derail the celebration and their budding romance, or can the reluctant hero and town favorite find the Christmas miracle neither expected?

Title: The Firefighter’s Christmas
Series:  The Bloom Sisters #2

My Rating:  4.5 stars

The Firefighter’s Christmas is the second title in The Bloom Sisters series.  Returning to Marietta, Montana, at any season is a treat, yet I adore the Christmas celebrations, the holiday traditions of my favorite fictional small town.  We had met Chrissy Bloom in Headstrong Cowboy; now it’s Tulip’s (Tilly’s) turn to find romance this Christmas when firefighter Zachary (Zac) moves to Marietta to avoid, okay to hide from his mother after her infamous bid to gain ratings for her talk show off of the daring rescue he and his team accomplished of a camping family amid a raging fire.

He just wants the spotlight off of him so he can do what he’s embraced as his career, his purpose.  All of his efforts may have just gone up in smoke as he’s “encouraged” by the mayor of Marietta and his fire chief to help out with one of the Bloom sisters’ wild ideas for a Christmas contest.  It seems that Tilly always has great ideas… It’s her inability to follow through to the end of those ideas that has some folks in town wanting to ensure that she has backup for this project.

I loved watching the romance unfold between Tilly and Zac during Marietta’s now-famous Christmas celebrations.  They both have hidden wounds that need healing; each deals with what life has sent their way in different fashions, yet both deserve to find that special someone who understands them and loves them just as they are.  Watching walls tumble and this couple embracing that unique connection they have was an emotional journey… and I loved every minute spent with this couple.  If you love a well-written, emotionally engaging romance full of all the feels you could ask for amid the magic of the Christmas season in a small town, then you’d love The Firefighter’s Christmas by Nicole Flockton.
