Headstrong Cowboy is the second title in the Montana’s Rodeo Cowboys series, and also the first title in The Bloom Sisters series, featuring Chrissy and Ryder, two people with plans that are about to cross with no clear winner unless they open their hearts to possibilities and risks.

Chrissy returns home to the family’s flower farm after her father’s unexpected death.  The farm is on the razor edge of bankruptcy unless she and her two sisters can manage to put together a workable plan before their mother sells the flower farm.  Ryder’s rodeo career ended with an injury; he’s come to Marietta not to compete in the Copper Mountain Rodeo but to keep a promise to his deceased mother… to reclaim what was once his family’s land, where The Bloom Flower Farm is located.  An intense attraction will begin between Chrissy and Ryder before he can start his plan to buy the property.  And keeping that long-ago promise to himself will tear apart what they could have together if he isn’t careful… and truthful about his intentions.

I enjoyed Headstrong Cowboy by Nicole Flockton so much.  It’s a well-written romance full of emotions, half-truths, and a sisterhood that stands strong against a devastating situation for them all.  I’m definitely looking forward to Tilly’s and Sunny’s stories as the series continues.
